Anatoly Metlan
Anatoly Metlan
was born in 1964 in Yalta, situated in the Ukraine and by the Black Sea.As
a child, he fiddled with the “paintbrush” and the “paint” which he
received from his parents who had both experimented art. Metlan grew very
found of the impressionist artists and their wonderful creations. He was
attracted towards their use of color, space and texture. He spent many
years perfecting his personal and individual style but never the
everlasting influence, which he fell in love with as a boy. In 1985 he
completed his High School Studies at a school of the arts and was admitted
to study at the “Krivoi Rog” University, South of Ukraine. During his
University years he exhibited extensively and slowly built a solid name
for himself as a respected artist and in 1989 was accepted to the Ukraine
Artists Guild. As soon as the “Iron Gate” was opened in the USSR, Metlan
and his family made the decision to immigrate to Israel. During the summer
seasons Metlan enjoys traveling to Europe and visiting the areas most
precious to him namely, the villages in France and Italy from which he
receives his inspiration.Metlan
has exhibited in one-man shows and group exhibition worldwide. He artworks
can also be viewed in private collections and have received overwhelming
status.
