Jean-Pierre Laurent
Jean-Pierre Laurent first painted under the guidance of Blanche Carnus in
1934, then became the student of Charles Picart Ledoux. In 1937, he
entered the Ecole Nationale des Beaux-Arts in Paris; He was awarded the
Prix de Rome. Laurent exhibited at the Salon des artists Francais, the
Salon d'Auatomne, and the Salon des moins de trente ans. This Parisian is
especially impassioned by seascapes, nautical scenes and the landscape of
France's Haute Province. He has participated in numerous exhibits in
France, Japan and the U.S., where he enjoyed immediate success. |
