Biography

Kerry Hallam

Born in Europe, which by tradition respects and nourishes the refinement of the creative process, and under the guidance of such notable artists as Hans Tisdale, Leslie Cole and Patrick Heron, Kerry Hallam grasped at an early age the significance of becoming an artist. "The values of the traditional painting techniques and the often tedious discipline of my early development gave me the ability to later express myself with complete freedom." He worked in sculpture, painting and graphic designs and excelled in virtually every media. Perhaps the most prestigious honor was the 1987 selection to be included by The Royal Society of Artists in Watercolour (London) traditionally considered the pinnacle of success in the medium. But it was in Southern France, with its sun drenced vistas, quiet calm and simple dignity, where Hallam's vision was catalyzed and stimulated. He found himself living in the cradle of the impressionist masters.
