Deniz
Mr. Deniz started drawing and painting at the age of 7. By the time he was
in high school he had his first exhibition (1973). In the same year, Ilkin
began drawing caricatures and creating cartoons. His work appeared in
Hurriyet, Milliyer, Carsaf, Mazee, GirGir, Firt, Mikrop, and Atmaca, all
well-known newspapers and cartoon magazines in Turkey. He later became an
illustrator with prominent advertisers. In 1986, Ilkin entered the Fine Art
Acadamy of Istanbul. In 1987, he participated in two major exhibitions. Then
in 1988, he was elected as "Best Illustrator of Turkey", by wining the
contest for Rotavision's book "Art Directors and Index Illustrations
Graphics & Design". Between 1988 and 1994, Ilkin Deniz's art was exhibited
by prominent art galleries in Istanbul, such as Arta Galleries and Min
Gallery. Ilkin Deniz's style is called photo-realism and impressionist.
Collectors of his art include those from Turkey, German, Holland, and United
States. His paintings are currently private collections belonging to Donald
Trump and Clint Eastwood. From 1993 to 1994, Ilkin was invited to give
advanced courses on acrylic, oil and watercolor techniques at Private Art
School. In 1996, he was contracted by Buffalo Games Inc., in the United
States to create a caricature posted called "Football Mania" , marketed as
the "World's Most Diffcult Jigsaw Puzzle". During the 30 years experience as
a fine artist and cartoonist, Mr. Deniz has commanded remuneration for his
artwork, which art critics and peers have judged him in his field as
outstanding. He has evidenced that he holds international acclaim, and
demonstrates an exceptional ability.
