Roseanne Brook
Roseanne Brook was born in 1958, near Den Haag, into a family of artists. She demonstrated her talents at an early age then and went to Amsterdam to study. She graduated from the Stadt Academy of Art in 1980 after which time she went to Israel seeking adventure. In her new life, she was drawn to the versatile Mediterranean landscapes. She spends part of her time in Holland, working in her family's cottage in the country, and part of her time in Israel. Her approach to painting is innovative in her use of classical impressionist methods in a contemporary context of color. Many of her paintings are in private and public collections in Europe, USA, and Japan. Her works, popular and distinguishable by their unique style, have been adapted to other media including textiles and stamps.
